NewsMerge "Rolling Beta" Available

Adiscon GmbH today announced immediate availability of the so-called "Rolling Beta" of NewsMerge. Other than in usual beta programs, the "rolling beta" always provides a view at the latest features of NewsMerge. This version is continuously being posted as soon as new builds are available. Adiscon does not wait for major milestones before making the software available.

This mode has been chosen due to customer demand.  Adiscon is strongly committed to providing customer driven software. NewsMerge is a relatively new product and there are many very valuable feature suggestions. So we have decided to make new versions available for review and feedback as soon as they are available.

This interaction with our customers allows us to integrate feedback quickly into the next release. Any feedback is highly appreciated. Customers are invited to try out the versions and submit their comments and requests. Now is the right time to let us know of features you would like to see in the product! Chances are good that at least some of them will make it into the next release. Already, a number of exiting enhancements could be brought in due to customer feedback.

It is updated as new product builds become available. Please note that the beta requires a previously installed 1.2 SP1 release. It does not come with a separate installer, just some new files to copy over the existing installation. The decision to not deliver an Installer is based on the fact that this enables us to quickly create download sets, without the need for setup development (which would slow down the process considerable). Also, it guarantees small download sizes (typically only a few hundred KB).
